Wilma was born in Northeastern Pennsylvania
to devout Roman Catholic parents. She graduated from college
in Delaware with an AA degree in Accounting and Business Administration,
and was employed by the University of Virginia and the University
of Pennsylvania until her entrance into the Sisters of Mercy
as a nun from 1967-1971. As a nun she taught school for a
year and a half, but became very disillusioned with the life-style
of the nuns. After leaving the convent she remained a devout
Catholic until she became a born-again Christian on November
11, 1973 at the age 29-1/2.
Galatians 2:20 contains the foundational truths she shares
with women’s groups as she travels nationwide. Her purpose
in life is to glorify God and to enjoy Him. (Ps. 16:11; Ps.
27:4) Her heart’s desire is to present the precious
truths of the Christ-life so others can experience the freedoms
which Christ has already provided for them through His death,
burial, resurrection, and seating at the Father’s right
hand and their identification with Him in those events.
